Kids Place Central Set to Expand,
Purchases Larger Building in Central Phoenix
PHOENIX, AZ – Kids Place Central, a provider of pediatric physical, occupational, speech and feeding therapy to children with developmental, neurological, and orthopedic concerns, has purchased the former Fiesta Pediatric Therapy building located at 2302 N 15th Ave in Phoenix. The new facility will be fully operational, with no interruptions to current clients on Monday, August 13.
“This move from our current facility allows us to add more therapists and treat more children, all in an effort to better serve our community,” said co-owner Teri Roberts, DPT, PCS. “We had maxed out on space at our current location, and there were many more children needing treatment.”
Kids Place Central’s new building is approximately 7,000 square feet, three times the size of their current facility, with 12 private treatment rooms and multiple large gym areas. In addition to the six currently employed physical, occupational, and speech therapists, Kids Place will add two new speech therapists and one speech and feeding therapist immediately. Plans to add additional physical and occupational therapists are also in the works.
Brittany Ricciardi, DPT, PCS has been promoted to Clinic Manager of Kids Place Central. Brittany has worked as a pediatric physical therapist at Kids Place West since 2015. She completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Franklin Pierce University in Goodyear, Arizona after finishing her Bachelor of Science in Education from The Ohio State University. Brittany is a Board Certified Specialist in Pediatrics.
“In this role, I look forward to inspiring our therapists to grow and promote an environment that encourages teamwork to help each kiddo reach their full potential,” said Ricciardi. “Since joining Kids Place, I have always loved how each therapist throughout all the disciplines come together to discuss treatment ideas and share knowledge.”
Kids Place prides itself on “No Techs, No Aides, No Assistants” – meaning all treatment sessions are administered by the highest level of educated therapists. Patients are never “handed off” to less qualified employees.
Since 2008, Kids Place has provided pediatric therapy in physical, occupational, speech, and feeding therapy. In 2015, Kids Place Central opened to provide these services to more Phoenix area children. Kids Place is a part of Arizona Orthopedic Physical Therapy (AZOPT), which has locations in Goodyear, Buckeye, and Glendale.
